There is research from the Fuller Youth Institute that a teenager is more likely to have a long-lasting faith the more often they are able to participate in the larger life of the church. This means that the more often a teenager is in main service or serving alongside adults in various ministries, then they feel like they are a part of the church when they reach adulthood and are less likely to depart from it.

Therefore, we encourage middle schoolers and high schoolers to attend main service with their families on, or volunteer in MG Kids as assistant teachers, on Sunday mornings.

Then during the week, there is the opportunity for students to be a part of SD United Youth! SD United Youth is a collaborative of various progressive churches that have come together to create an incredible youth group for middle schoolers and high schoolers. We are a partner church of SD United Youth, so you can learn more about SD United Youth here
